Change is inevitable. Growth is optional. - John C. Maxwell

Have you ever spent time in a hedge maze or garden labyrinth? Or perhaps you have watched a movie that included a scene of someone running through a labyrinth, seeking a way out? In either scenario, there was probably a fair share of dead ends and backtracking. Sometimes, change may feel a bit like working through a labyrinth, except instead of our way being encumbered by hedges, we encounter other obstacles. Fear, uncertainty, anticipation, anxiety, and stress are all examples of potential obstacles we may encounter as we navigate change in our lives.

Understanding and accepting that fact is the first step toward overcoming them because it will help you recognize them for what they are, a normal part of the change process. Recognizing these potential obstacles enables you to proactively address them and get beyond them. This is where growth happens!
