Activity: Taking Stock
Try this: Find your favorite pen and paper or open a word processor or notepad on your preferred digital device. Make two columns. Label the first column “THEN” and the second column “NOW.” In the “THEN” column, write down things you remember that have either changed significantly or been replaced through innovation. In the “NOW” column, list what has taken the place of the item in the “THEN” column.
If you want to spice things up, try that little exercise with friends and family members of different ages.
When I was a kid…
We have all heard that statement or something like it at least once in our lives. Some of us have even begun a sentence or two or four or forty with those words. The reality is that things are likely very different from when you were a kid.
